Jim began in the auction business at the age of 18 and spent 60 years as one-half of O’Brien Brothers Auctioneers, selling cattle, farm, and household auctions. In addition, Jim auctioned many years at Midwest Livestock Producers, Lomira, and was a lifelong member of the Wisconsin State and National Auctioneers Association.

Charles M. “Chuck” Pearson

Charles M. “Chuck” Pearson

Being around the livestock industry and farm auctions, Chuck developed a dream to become an auctioneer, which he realized in 1995. He had rapid success in the Pearson Auction Co. and was associated with Terry Wilke. He graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1995. He was a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Illinois and Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, District Four chairman of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association.

William “Bill” Edward Miedema

William “Bill” Edward Miedema

After working for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad in South Dakota, he opened an Auction House in Huron, which he and his wife owned until moving to the Stateline area in the 1960’s. Bill and Carol operated Miedema Auction in South Beloit, IL until 1980. He then continued auctioneering for many years with Beloit Auction Service, a family business. Bill was awarded the coveted Golden Gavel by the State of Wisconsin Auctioneers Association for his 50 years as an auctioneer.

Jeffrey R. Martin

Jeffrey R. Martin

Jeff began auctioneering at a young age and later joined his father’s business, Robert E. Martin and Sons Auctioneering. For many years he worked alongside his father, brother, and cousin Randy Ranck, conducting auctions throughout Lancaster County. Jeff loved to volunteer his auctioneering services to benefit local organizations he cared deeply about. For the past several years he auctioneered at Farmersville Auction.

Jay Clarke

Jay Clarke

Jay was a graduate of the Mason City College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He owned Clarke & Associates, where he did appraisals, auctions and sold real estate. Jay was a member of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, a registered Wisconsin Auctioneer, inducted in the Wisconsin Auctioneers Hall of Fame, a member of the National Realtors Association and Wisconsin Realtors Association. He was also a Wisconsin Certified Residential Appraiser.

R.A. lived a long and storied life in which his living presence was larger than life itself. The ambition he showed and the knowledge he possessed garnered people’s admiration and respect in all he did. He held a very strong work ethic and loved every moment he spent working when he owned and operated Thiel Real Estate and Thiel & Thiel Auctions. He was a member of the National & Wisconsin Auctioneers Associations, and the Wisconsin Real Estate Association.
