In 1966, Jack graduated from Reisch College of Auctioneering and began a highly successful and rewarding career as an auctioneer. Known to many as “Colonel” Jack Hines, he founded Hines Auction Service, Inc. in the 1960s. “Let Jack Do It!” What began as a small family venture grew into one of the premier auction firms in the Midwest, specializing in farms, machinery, antiques, and real estate. For more than 54 years, Jack was a respected and recognizable voice at auctions throughout the region.

Jeff began auctioneering at a young age and later joined his father’s business, Robert E. Martin and Sons Auctioneering. For many years he worked alongside his father, brother, and cousin Randy Ranck, conducting auctions throughout Lancaster County. Jeff loved to volunteer his auctioneering services to benefit local organizations he cared deeply about. For the past several years he auctioneered at Farmersville Auction.

Edward J. “Ed” McNamara

Edward J. “Ed” McNamara

In the 1950s, Ed founded what was later to be known as the Farmers Implement Company at Bloomington. In 1960, he sold his interest in Farmers Implement Company and moved to Lancaster, where he then founded E.J. McNamara Real Estate & Auction Service. He retired after 42 years as an auctioneer and real estate broker. Ed served as the president of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1974.

After working for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad in South Dakota, he opened an Auction House in Huron, which he and his wife owned until moving to the Stateline area in the 1960’s. Bill and Carol operated Miedema Auction in South Beloit, IL until 1980. He then continued auctioneering for many years with Beloit Auction Service, a family business. Bill was awarded the coveted Golden Gavel by the State of Wisconsin Auctioneers Association for his 50 years as an auctioneer.

Charles M. “Chuck” Pearson

Being around the livestock industry and farm auctions, Chuck developed a dream to become an auctioneer, which he realized in 1995. He had rapid success in the Pearson Auction Co. and was associated with Terry Wilke. He graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1995. He was a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Illinois and Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, District Four chairman of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association.

Darby Walton, a third-generation auctioneer hailing from Sycamore, Ohio, embodies a deep-rooted passion for the agricultural industry. Born into a family steeped in auctioneering tradition, Darby’s journey into the world of auctions began at a tender age, running clerk tickets for his father, Doug, and grandfather, Jay. Both esteemed members of the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame, Doug and Jay instilled in Darby a profound appreciation for the art of auctioneering.
