Gerry O’Connor founder and owner of O’Connor Auction Group has been in the Auction Business since 1981, after graduating from Reich World Wide College of Auctioneer in June of 1981.
Laura became a licensed auctioneer at age 19 after 7 years of working auction setup and as a clerk and cashier around the state of Ohio. A graduate of The Ohio Auction School, she assists in over 200 auctions a year conducting benefit auctions, selling real estate at auction, working 3 auto auctions per week as well as serving as a contract auctioneer around the country

Wimpy was a 1948 graduate of West Salem High School. After graduation, he chose the profession he had always dreamed of by attending the Reisch School of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. Wimpy continued his auctioneering profession for the next 54 years until his unexpected death last Friday while conducting a sale in Viroqua.
Upon retirement, Mr. Bickford devoted much time to being a foster parent. After several years, he launched a new career as an auctioneer which culminated in a partnership with Mike Bloedorn of Blaine and the development of B&B Auction Service Inc. in Almond.
R.A. lived a long and storied life in which his living presence was larger than life itself. The ambition he showed and the knowledge he possessed garnered people’s admiration and respect in all he did. He held a very strong work ethic and loved every moment he spent working when he owned and operated Thiel Real Estate and Thiel & Thiel Auctions. He was a member of the National & Wisconsin Auctioneers Associations, and the Wisconsin Real Estate Association.

Roy was a well-known local Auctioneer. For the past 50 years, he had owned and operated Holler Auction Services. Roy was a Director, a Vice-President, and President of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association and was inducted into the Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 1990. He served as Director and President of the Racine County Fair Board. He was a past 4-H Leader and President of the 4-H Leaders Association
Jim began in the auction business at the age of 18 and spent 60 years as one-half of O’Brien Brothers Auctioneers, selling cattle, farm, and household auctions. In addition, Jim auctioned many years at Midwest Livestock Producers, Lomira, and was a lifelong member of the Wisconsin State and National Auctioneers Association.
Jim was an antique dealer and auctioneer in northeast Wisconsin for many years and was the owner of Bargain Nook Liquidations in New Holstein. He was a member of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association.

Peter D. Gehres, CAI, CES, CAS is the Chief Operating Officer of Jeff Martin Auctioneers, Inc, North America’s fastest-growing equipment auction company, with auction sites in 12 states and growing. He currently serves as a Director of the National Auctioneers Association and is the 2015 International Auctioneer Champion.

Following the footsteps of his father, David went to the World Wide College of Auctioneering to become an auctioneer, and in 1966 joined his father’s firm as both lawyer and auctioneer. Gerlach Companies, which was founded in 1941, is the oldest family run auctioneer and appraisal firm in Wisconsin. David’s son, Michael, has also followed his father’s footsteps as an auctioneer and appraiser in the family business. For the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, he was a Board of Directors member from 1999 through 2003, and was President Elect in 2003, President in 2004, and Chairman of the Board in 2005. In 2008 David won the Senior Bid Calling Championship. On Monday, January 31, 2017 at the WAA winter conference, he will posthumously be inducted into the Wisconsin Auctioneer’s Association Hall of Fame, where his son Michael accepted the honor.

Emma Bailey was an American auctioneer and author, credited with being the first American woman auctioneer. She held her first auction in Brattleboro, Vermont, on May 12, 1950, as a way to supplement her family’s income. In 1952 she became the first woman admitted to the National Auctioneers Association. She continued auctioneering for nearly 20 years and wrote a book about her experiences, entitled Sold to the Lady in the Green Hat (1962), before retiring in the late 1960s.
